Golf Course News - 2/1/2010

Wow, does the snow ever stop? The abundant snowfall has kept us busy pushing snow and working in the shop. We managed to venture out on the golf course one day to remove a couple
of dead trees. I was amazed at how much snow was on the golf course – three to four feet in some spots. Unless we get a good melt, those two trees will be the only trees that get removed
this year. During our venture on the golf course we saw something that I have never seen on the course. Pheasants! They made a home around the restrooms on number four.

The abundant snow has made the golf course an ideal location to cross country ski and snow shoe. I have noticed a few tracks on the golf course. I encourange you to use the course in the winter, but please stay off of the greens. The deer, pheasants and turkey have been abundant and should present some great photo opportunities. As always, motorized vehicles are not allowed on the golf course.

Hopefully next month spring will be in sight.
